Terms of Service

The rules for using CoParnt — in plain English wherever we can manage it.

Last updated: 10 July 2026

The short version: CoParnt helps co-parents coordinate schedules and handovers. Use it fairly, keep your account secure, and remember it's a coordination tool — not legal advice and not an official court record.

Accepting these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and CoParnt ("we", "us", or "our"). They govern your use of the CoParnt iOS application and the website at www.coparnt.app (together, the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use CoParnt.
  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account, including a valid email address.
  • CoParnt signs you in with magic links sent to your email. You are responsible for keeping access to that email account secure — anyone who can read your email can sign in as you.
  • You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@coparnt.app.

What CoParnt is (and isn't)

CoParnt is a coordination tool for co-parents: shared custody calendars, handover notes, and related features. It is designed to reduce friction between two linked co-parent accounts.

CoParnt is not:

  • Legal advice. Nothing in the app constitutes legal, custody, or mediation advice. For legal matters, consult a qualified professional.
  • An official record. While you may find records kept in CoParnt useful, we make no guarantee that they will be accepted by any court or authority.
  • An emergency service. Do not rely on CoParnt for urgent or safety-critical communication.

Payments and billing

  • Some features require a paid subscription, purchased through Apple's App Store as an auto-renewing subscription.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's own policies — we cannot issue App Store refunds directly.
  • Prices may change; we will give you reasonable notice of any change before it applies to you.

Content you add

You own the content you enter into CoParnt — schedules, notes, photos, and other information. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit that content solely to operate the Service, including sharing it with your linked co-parent account, which is the core purpose of the app.

You are responsible for the content you enter. Only add information about children for whom you have parental responsibility or the right to record such information.

What you must not do

When using CoParnt you must not:

  • Use the Service to harass, threaten, or abuse anyone, including your co-parent.
  • Enter content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes anyone else's rights.
  • Attempt to access another person's account or data without authorisation.
  • Probe, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Service or its security.
  • Use the Service in violation of any court order that applies to you.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using CoParnt at any time and can request deletion of your account and data by emailing hello@coparnt.app (see our Privacy Policy for how deletion works).

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Where reasonably possible, we will give you notice and an opportunity to export your data.

Service provided "as is"

We work hard to keep CoParnt reliable, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost — please keep independent records of anything critical.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CoParnt will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
